Project Taronja - Holiday and Winter Let in Spain
Xativa, Valencia, Spain
This further exciting diversification for Morrish Builders is at the advanced planning stage, in a beautiful part of the Spanish countryside, near Valencia.
A beautiful villa, 'Entre Pins', set amongst the orange groves with stunning views to the national park, is available to rent for Spring and Summer holidays or for longer terms next winter. Sleeps 8 comfortably in four double bedrooms.
For initial information and availability contact davidtharby@yahoo.co.uk or our resident manager in Spain, Graham Carver
'Projecte Taronja' is situated amid orange groves and almond trees, a few minutes drive from the historic and very picturesque medieval city of Xativa(4 miles). A small and select development of architect designed villas, each with a large plot and views over the surrounding countryside and nearby river, will be created.
The interesting location is quiet, peaceful, very typically tranquil 'Valencian/Spanish'in character yet trains run from Xativa and Manuel stations to Valencia, Barcelona and madrid.
A new high speed AVE (the Spanish TGV) line to Madrid will be open in 2011.
The coast is barely 20 miles (about a 30 minute drive), Alicante airport is about 90 minutes and that at Valencia about 45 minutes.
The appointed architects and planning consultants are working closely with Morrish Builders in England and Graham Carver their locally based project manager and all being well the roads, services and general construction will begin in 2010.
Updates will appear here from time to time. We anticipate full planning permission for a number luxury villas to be granted in the Autumn of 2010 after which a decision will be made on the time scale for further infrastructure, roads, drains and services.
In the meantime we are looking forward to another bountiful harvest of the seven varieties of oranges grown on the most of the land acquired.
Ever conscious of the ecology, Morrish Builders have appointed a full time grove manager to improve the irrigation systems and increase the traditional orange production which in turn will boost the local economy, as only a small proportion of the total holding will actually be built on.
Areas of river bank have been acquired to create a conservation area where egrets, kingfishers, herons and other birds and animals can continue to exist and delight both local people and the new residents and holiday tenants at Projecte Taronje.
